A schizophrenic neighborhood, Sandy Hook sprang up around the Admiralty Docks, the oldest dock complex in Gotham City. The southern tip of the island is marked by the Federal Hill gun positions, now abandoned and turned over to the National Park Service, as well as the Sandy Hook Light, one of the oldest continuously operating lighthouses on the East Coast. The north coast of the island is home to Gotham City Stadium, home to the Gotham Wildcats (NFL, AFC East) and the Gotham Knights, (MLB, NL). Mineral Boulevard is the dividing line between the two halves of the island; south of Mineral is predominantly residential neighborhoods; once lower middle class, but undergoing relentless gentrification in the face of the growing night life on the north side of the island. North of Mineral is a growing entertainment district build around the stadium.
