Colgate Heights is a middle class neighborhood of block after block of single-family row homes. Many of the residents work in the manufacturing centers in Fort Clinton or Columbia Point. For over a century it has been home to a large population of Italian Americans; rivaling that of New York City’s “Little Italy” neighborhood. Unfortunately, it is also the central location for Italian Mafia activity in Gotham, and has been since the establishment of the Bertinelli Crime Family in the 1920s.
